Bring Texture and Mixed Materials To Your Kitchen Design

Many of us have been exploring how we can improve our homes after spending so much time in them during 2020 and our kitchens are certainly no exception. We all know that this space is the heart of the home, so what trends is it worth keeping an eye on if you are planning a renovation project in the coming months?
According to a recent article for Living etc, more of us are looking at how we can introduce textures to our spaces to avoid an overly clinical feel in our kitchens.
The news provider noted that one of the best ways to do this is to think carefully about the material you choose for your work surface.
Natural stones, quartzites and marbles are all proving popular at the moment, with many people choosing to introduce metal accents to their kitchen designs to complement their stone worktops, as well as their cabinetry.
Last month, the Wall Street Journal ran through some of the best options for kitchen surfaces, noting that quartzite is a particularly great choice if you are looking for a highly durable material.
Marie Flanigan, a designer based in Houston, told the news provider that quartzite is ideal when you want “something heat and scratch-resistant and nearly indestructible”.
Another reason why this might be a good match for your home is the variety of colours quartzite comes in, ranging from brown to blue and even white, the publication noted.
If you’re looking for the perfect quartz worktops for your home, take a look at the selection we have available and contact us about how we can help with your kitchen renovation project.
